caring.SummaryPerform administrative tasks under the direction of
multiple physicians to keep the office running smoothly.
Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to,
answering phone calls, greeting patients, handling correspondence,
scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, transcribing
patient visits, calling patients with biopsy results, surgery
scheduling, assisting with MOHS surgery, assisting with excisions,
maintaining pathology log, maintaining MIPS logs related to the
diagnosis of Melanoma and the Melanoma Recall System.Job
Responsibilities:Intake for surgical patients and return
patientsAssists with biopsy procedures and demonstrates current
knowledge and skill in nursing practice to ensure safe and
effective care for the patient population.Responsible for patient
education including handing out educational pamphlets, giving
verbal instructions, explaining products, discussing medications
and wound care, and answering patient questionsProviding post-op
care to return patientsSurgical instrument
processingScribeParticipate in quality and safety control and
provide support services within the clinic when not providing
patient carePrepare for the days activities by checking schedules
and preparing rooms for patient use i.e. clean, organize, and stock
rooms with necessary equipment and suppliesCommunicate effectively
with patients and co-workers in person and over the phoneProtect
patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies
and protocolsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by
complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsMust be able to
work under time pressures in a busy clinic/office environmentMust
be able to react quickly and immediately respond to urgency and
emergenciesMust be able to reach for objects by extending arms and
able to stay in one position for periods of timeMust maintain
attention to detail over extended period of timeQualifications:2
years prior experience in medical assistingDemonstrated ability or
experience in patient flow management and confidential management
of patient health informationAbility to provide services to
patients in a warm, professional mannerDermatology experience a
plusIdeal candidate will have a strong interest in the dermatology
field and a passion for building relationships with their
patientsStrong attention to detail and follow-throughExcellent
interpersonal skills, ability to communicate professionally with
