Job Description:

Our client is a leading distributor and fabricator of insulation and materials for fire protection and refractory applications in Hammond, IN. They are looking for a Production Supervisor. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all production for the assigned shift and department. It also requires the candidate to be familiar with the overall operation and production requirements for all roles assigned to the department as well as quality and documentation standards. This will be a hands-on supervisor role that may require the ability to operate equipment as needed to maintain the overall production goals.This is a 1st shift trial to hire position. The pay will be based on experience but will start around $25/hr.The responsibilities of the Production Supervisor will include but are not limited to:* Understand production logs and associated documentation as well as required material usage reporting* Understand all functions of the machine, set-up, balancing, size changes and fine tuning of Quality* Correctly document or log out daily production at the end of shift Setup or change over the machine* Comply with lock out/tag out rules Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety standards* Conduct and document shift and/or department specific safety meetings* Assign available personnel as required to meet production and/or current schedule needs* Drive production output to meet production goals and suggest/implement new ways to improve efficiency and increasing throughput Document any production issues, completed production, and other pertinent information to be passed to oncoming shift* Power up/down machines when neededRequirements of the Production Supervisor:* Proven experience as a floor supervisor or similar lead role* Previous experience in a manufacturing work environment* High school diploma or GED is required, post-high school education is a plus* Prior forklift experience is preferred* Strong measurement skills including the ability to read and interpret a tape measure or measuring device* Basic mathematical and computer skills required* Ability to comply with all pre-employment screeningsWhy work for Crown?* Get paid weekly!* We offer benefits after 30 days* Trial to hire opportunities!If interested click APPLY NOW!Crown Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/DJob Type: Full-timePay: Up to $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 10 hour shift* 12 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayWork Location: In personby Jobble
