Job Description:

The Finance Intern monitors, processes, and reports on accounts receivable and accounts payable documentation to ensure compliance with corporate and project-level policies and procedures. Coordinator will be heavily involved in ad-hoc requests and supplemental reporting for client deliverables. Position will also assist the Manager of Finance and Accounting by analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports for HHSC.

• Processes vendor and employee expenses by coding account numbers and ensuring accuracy
• Reconciles vendor invoices, invoice databases, and Cognos reports
• Routes vendor invoices to the Financial Analysts, Managers, and the corporate office.
• Maintains positive working relationships with vendors, employees, management, and corporate
• Assists in the preparation of statistical, analytical, and financial reports
• Assists in maintaining other miscellaneous databases
• Maintains office records and filing systems.
• Assist in audit preparation of documentation and reconciliations
• Prepares timely and accurate financial reports
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.Other:
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Word and Excel). Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • MS Access and Macros is a plus
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline and detailed-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously; and ability to work as a team member, as well as independently, as this will be a work from home position.
