Job Description:
Position SummaryThe Grants Clerk is established for the purpose
of ensuring that Steel City Academy receives all earned state and
federal funds by following all required accounting processing and
regulations. This position is also responsible for recording all
revenue in accounting systems and leading all accounts receivable
procedures.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited
to:Accounts ReceivableVerifies funds from the front office to
prepare for deposit according to the depositing
schedule.Coordinates and processes deposits, and tracks and reports
on deposits for the purpose of accurate processing of
depositsRecords revenue in Lows & QuickBooks on a bi-weekly
basisEstablishes and maintains petty cash funds for the purpose of
accurate management of school funds.Reconciles the weekly PayPal
and CashApp receipts and transfers money to the bankGrant Execution
and ManagementPrepares monthly reimbursements for State and Federal
Grants with appropriate documentationPrepares quarterly and annual
expenditure reportsPrepares journal entries to adjust grant
accountsCompletes required grant reports for state and federal
fundsProvide necessary documentation for state and federal grant
reimbursementsOtherSupport team in preparation for the auditAssist
the Finance team with budget managementPerforms various accounting,
administrative and other related duties as assigned and required by

quickly.Qualifications: Education and Prior ExperienceBachelor's
degree in accounting or any other business related field2+ years of
work experience in school finance and accounting, non-profit
development, or public sector finance.Work DemandsWorking outside
of typical school hours to ensure school mission, vision and
expectations are metAttend school and community events and
functionsPasses a criminal background check, as required by law
