Department Information

Indiana University Northwest seeks a qualified candidate to fill the part-time position of Women's Cross Country Head Coach.

Job Summary

This position reports to the Director of Athletics.

Responsibilities include organizing and administering of all phases of a program including:
Recruiting student-athletes.
Training and preparing athletes and team for competition.
Scheduling competitions.
Arranging travel for competitions.
Gear/equipment management.
Monitoring the academic success of student-athletes.
Managing operating budget.
Public relations and athletic website contribution.
Fundraising and campus event participation/supervision.
Performing all duties as assigned with high ethical standards; commitment to academic success.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications

- - -EDUCATION

Required
Bachelor's degree.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATION

Required
Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
Public Passenger Chauffer's License prior to first team competition.
SKILLS
Coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level.
Knowledge of NAIA rules and policies.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient communication skills.
Commitment to integrity, gender equity, and racial diversity.
The ability to serve as a positive role model to student athletes.

Working Conditions / Demands

Ability to work evenings /weekends as necessary to achieve program excellence.
