district in Illinois is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals
specializing in supporting students with diverse needs for contract
positions during the current school year (CSY). These roles are
designed to provide essential classroom support across various
environments, including early childhood, elementary, and high
school levels. Available Positions: Para - Visually Impaired (Early
Childhood) Location: Clarendon Hills, IL Hours: 35 per week
Responsibilities: Assist visually impaired young learners in
developing foundational skills. Requirements: PEL and Para
Certification required. Para - Structured Learning Environment
(SLE) (Elementary) Location: Downers Grove, IL Hours: 35 per week
Responsibilities: Support students in a structured learning
environment designed for learners with special education needs.
Requirements: PEL and Para Certification required. Para - Visually
Impaired (High School Classroom) Location: Not specified Bilingual
Spanish fluency required. Responsibilities: Support visually
impaired high school students within the classroom setting.
Requirements: PEL and Para Certification required. Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Paraprofessional Educator License (PEL).
Paraprofessional Certification. Ability to work 35 hours per week.
For high school Para - Visually Impaired role: bilingual Spanish
skills. Responsibilities: Provide individualized support to
students with visual impairments or those requiring structured
learning settings. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to
deliver accessible educational experiences. Utilize specialized
techniques and tools to assist students' learning and development.
Maintain accurate records and communicate progress effectively.
