(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Sign
Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a
school environment. This role supports effective communication
between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and educational staff,
ensuring equal access to learning through remote interpretation
services. Responsibilities include: Providing accurate and timely
sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions involving
students and educators Facilitating clear communication to support
academic achievement and student well-being Collaborating with
school personnel to prepare for virtual meetings and remote
instruction Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to
professional ethical standards Preferred qualifications and
experience: Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong
interpreting skills Experience interpreting in educational
settings, particularly telehealth or virtual formats Ability to
adapt to technology platforms used for telehealth services
Familiarity with educational terminology and disabilities-related
vocabulary Strong communication and interpersonal skills to
effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
Location: Chicago, Illinois Position type: 1099 Contract This role
