Process EngineerLocation - Lafayette, IN South PlantEstimated Salary - $85,000 - 110,000 depending on experienceThe RoleAs a Process Engineer, you will ensure the organization, planning, direction, and control of process & technical changes/ improvements and technical documentation for a large process area within a 24/7 continuous flow food and ingredients manufacturing plant. A process engineer's job responsibilities include research of product development and product design of the manufacturing process. They must be able to solve problems as they arise and evaluate the engineering process for safety compliance and environmental regulations.About UsImproving Lives for Generations is our purpose.     • Ensuring systems are in place to track key process parameters and overall process performance.
    • Developing projects to improve safety, reduce costs, improve quality, reduce environmental impacts and increase throughput and will take the lead in implementing these changes.
    • Managing both small-scale and large-scale projects from conception through start-up including writing MOC's, SOP's, start-up planning/scheduling, and training.
    • Monitoring the performance of the area on a daily basis to ensure the process is in control, operating in a safe manner, and operating within established control limits.
    • Being the primary technical support resource for the chemical operators. The incumbent will communicate with the chemical operators on a daily basis to effectively understand current process issues/concerns, communicate plans to address issues, and provide both ongoing and project related technical training.
    • Mentoring Staff and Production Engineers in process troubleshooting and project management.
    • Work with Maintenance and Reliability Engineers to understand the major maintenance cost drivers in an area and assist with engineering solutions to drive down maintenance costs.Does this sound like you?
      • BS Degree Engineering: Possesses an Engineering degree in Chemical, Agricultural Process, or Mechanical engineering or another relevant Engineering discipline.Work Experience
        • 5+ years of Process Engineering experience, preferably in a continuous flow manufacturing plant.
        • A track record of process ownership and growth of technical understanding of processing equipment in one or more of the following categories: wet milling, boilers, condensate systems, evaporation, enzyme reactions, isomerization, ion exchange, fractionation, and separation
        • Experience with piping design and development of PFDs, PIDs, and Isometric drawings
        • Experience working closely with a skilled production team to resolve technical process problems
