_Manufacturing Engineer : _ AP Emission Technologies LLC is a
world-class automotive and commercial vehicle aftermarket
manufacturer providing one of the largest underbody portfolios and

performance professionals and enthusiasts alike. AP Emissions
Technologies we manufacture a complete line of automotive, light
truck, and heavy duty exhaust and emissions products. Our roots
reach back to the very beginnings of the automotive exhaust system
business. Today we continue the tradition of providing high quality
mufflers, exhaust pipe, and catalytic converters to our commercial
customers and automotive professionals. We have an opportunity for
a junior level Manufacturing Engineer with one to three years in a
Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering role. Welding and fabrication
knowledge is critical. You will be the liaison between the
engineering department and production floor. The Engineer would
assist with new and current products including the selection and
implementation of lean processes, new equipment, new tooling and
new manufacturing techniques into production. This position also
determines lean, product, equipment, process improvements in order
to reduce cost, scrap, rework, maintenance and set-up. Individual
must be dependable, hardworking, self-motivated and willing to work
overtime if necessary. Summary: Assist in the implementation of new
and existing products and processes into Production/Manufacturing
Perform time studies on work cells Analyze and resolve systematic
mechanical and electronic equipment problems with the help of data
collection databases. Knowledge of engineering documentation, work
instruction changes, and process/drawing change documents
(Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notice) Manage
technical projects to completion. This may include machine
rebuilds, corrective actions, new product launches, machine
repairs, lean activities, designing tooling, etc. Prepare and drive
continuous improvement activities to safeguard safety, quality and
delivery Generate detailed manufacturing drawings for components
and mechanical layout drawings for assemblies in SolidWorks design
software Develop CNC programs with the aid of CAD/CAM Software.
Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and disciplines
Strong analytical, organizational and technical skills Excellent
written and verbal communication skills Assists with other tasks as
needed Provide process support on manufacturing training and
technical issues while developing/writing SOPs Qualifications: B.S.
Mechanical Engineering or related technical field. 1-3 years of
---hands on--- manufacturing experience in a welding/assembly
environment supporting production Solid Works a must, AutoCAD and
Fusion 360 knowledge a plus or the ability to learn other CAD/CAM
software Basic understanding of tool design Lean Manufacturing
knowledge Knowledge of manual and CNC machine operation/programming
