Welcome to GreenMark Equipment Inc. We are a 16 location John Deere dealership network in South Western Michigan and Northern Indiana. We have been providing ag equipment sales and service to farmers, commercial businesses, large property owners, and homeowners. GreenMark Equipment, Inc. has been built on quality products, competent employees, quality service, and competitive prices. We re Hiring a Service Manager for our Monticello, IN, dealer location to manage all service operations, maximizing return on investment by optimizing processes and ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction. You will lead all repair and maintenance of our agricultural and, lawn & garden equipment. Your focus will be on scheduling and prioritizing workflow, working directly with customers, and coaching team members to maximize department performance. This is a management role leading 12 FT employees (10 Service Techs, 1 Service Writer, and 1 Truck driver) with limited time spent working on equipment. This job might be for you if you:

  • Have 3+ years in service, repair, and maintenance of agriculture, farm, diesel, construction, and/or heavy equipment with prior management experience
  • Are a strong communicator that enforces and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Enjoy a role working directly with customers and can work calmly under the pressure of the busy season

What you will be doing:
    • Develops, communicates, enforces, and monitors effective Service Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction
    • Creates annual Service Department goals and budget in alignment with the organization s financial and operational objectives
    • Develops and executes Service Department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals
    • Coordinates customer clinics, field days, and related promotional events
    • Submits all service warranty and Product Improvement Program claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit
    • Schedules and assigns jobs and work areas to employees in the Service Department according to their skills and knowledge
    • Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to customer billing
    • Ensures all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order
    • Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position . Date posted: 11/15/2022
