do it without you.Job DutiesThe incumbent is an integral member of
the leadership team who is responsible for the overall management,
coordination and performance of the Access Solutions team. The
Manager, Ambulatory Access Solutions sets priorities and guides the
operations in achieving targets set by leadership as well as
achieving best practice in accordance with industry standards. The
Office of Ambulatory Access Solutions is a team of both clinical
and non-clinical caregivers who are responsible for collaborating
with practices to optimize access to care and reduce friction for
patients navigating the health system. This role will champion and
provide guidance for the on-going development, advancement and
optimization of clinical systems and technology that impact patient
care and business operations throughout the system.Your
QualificationsTwo (2) years of clinical practice experience with
familiarity with EHR scheduling required.Two (2) years management
experience, in a call center/central support department or practice
environment using call technology required.Project management
experience preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Nursing RequiredActive
license as a Registered Nurse by the State of Indiana.Your
SkillsDetermines appropriate resource, technology, and processes
necessary to deliver timely patient access to appointments,
refills, and advice.Hires, develops, and manages a team of service
oriented staff responsible for delivering access solutions and/or
performance monitoring.Oversees department timekeeping and payroll.
Collaborates with HR concerning employee issues and
performance.Conducts employee coaching, counseling, disciplinary
actions and annual appraisals.Monitors staff adherence to hospital
and departmental policies and procedures.Ensures staff have the
necessary training and tools to assist in effectively routing
patients to information or care that patient's value.Collaborates
with Director to develop and implement standard operating
procedures and ensures adherence to optimize appointment scheduling
quality.Develop understanding of nurse and provider practice needs
and build relationships with providers and staff to assure
widespread acceptance, adoption and meaningful use of clinical
information systems and of Knowledge Management tools.Lead and
facilitate clinical & non clinical groups in the creation of
required content, protocols, workflows and related system usage
polices.Facilitate and manage change in a manner consistent with
the overall direction of the organization and leveraging existing
system-level toolsets. These change management activities may
include formal training in process improvement methods.Understand
and communicate trends in healthcare, clinical systems, information
technology and point of care products.Work with clinical
information teams on translating these trends into designing,
building and implementing enhancements to a variety of systems.Work
with leadership in deploying standardized evidence-based best
practices in medicine, clinical content and ensures adoption of
best practices.Meets key performance metrics regarding workforce
optimization, employee productivity, access to care, call services
levels, etc.As identified by leadership and Director of Ambulatory
Access Solutions, including scheduler space requirements and
