Position SummaryWe are looking for a Solution Product Manager in charge of diagnostic solutions dedicated to the food industry, with national responsibilities. You will be responsible for the product management, marketing development, planning, and its execution providing all necessary insights, positioning, value selling materials to support the go-to-market and the business development of several fundamental ranges which include: Food Culture Media, Pathogen Immunoassay, Sample and Media Preparation portfolio along with the BIOBALL for Food Applications, which are in strong growth phase and investment for further innovation.This position collaborates closely with Global Marketing, Supply Chain, Segment Marketing, Industry Customer Service, Sales, Scientific Affairs, R&D, and adjacent marketing functions (both global and local subsidiaries worldwide).Primary Duties

  • Builds the strategic product/range marketing plan: monitors and assesses market share and total available market and defines the marketing mix (customer segmentation, product features, price, etc.) as well as Go-to-Market strategies for commercial deployment, sales support, and training.
  • Co-designs brand marketing plans and marketing guidelines; Supports the local promotion of the solution with communication and campaign strategies with the support of the Communication Department and in close collaboration with Global, Regions and Subsidiaries ensuring customer satisfaction and innovation adoption.
  • Ensures range availability: price definition, local product availability in collaboration with Supply Chain and Inventory Management.
  • Innovation: Co-develop with Global Marketing and evolve the range taking into account local sales, segment marketing, R&D and customer service insights among others; considering market trends in our immediately accessible markets as well as adjacencies to enter.
  • Leads Lifecycle management activities, by ensuring achievement of profitability objectives coming from the core business strategy: sales, profitability, customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL) and key strategic accounts to capture customer experience and engage them in product launches and execution.
  • Uses Voice of Customer approach to evolve the range and ensuring that customer needs are understood by project teams (by prioritizing project specifications and presenting a business plan) while taking into account local sales, segment marketing, R&D and customer support insights.Supplemental DataYou will work and grow within the U.S. Marketing Food Safety & Quality department of the Industrial Applications unit of bioM--rieux that offers holistic control expertise and solutions to all food industries, and service labs helping them deliver safe products to consumers. Today the food industry is under a lot of transformation with the development of new ways of production and new types of foods like plant-based dairy or dietary supplements. bioM--rieux is investing in new technologies and innovative programs to deliver diagnostic solutions quicker & fully adapted to the specific needs of the new food markets.This position will report to the Associate Director of Solutions Marketing.Training and Education
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in life sciences or product management certification.
  • You have strong business acumen; MBA is a plus.
  • 2 years of work experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.Experience
  • You have at least 2 years of experience as Marketing / Product Management. A plus if it's in food safety, veterinary, pharma or clinical diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in SAP; SalesForce a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, teamwork and collaboration skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in French / Spanish would be highly regarded.
    • You are recognized for your autonomy, leadership and communication skills and have the ability to distill complex topics into simple and clear messages for different stakeholders.
    • You have a strong team spirit and are customer oriented, acting as a product Brand Ambassador to build awareness and understanding.
    • You are results oriented with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
    • You are solution-oriented, always willing to pull in the right people to solve a problem or process improvement.
    • You are willing to travel both domestically and internationally, as needed.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
      • Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
      • Domestic travel required 20% of time.
      • International travel required 10% of time.The estimated salary range for this role based in Illinois is between $79,300 - $95,300. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.In addition, bioM--rieux offers a competitive Total Rewards package that may include:
