An established private practice of 50 years is looking to add its 7th pediatrician to the group. This position offers a 4-day workweek in mainly an outpatient setting. The only inpatient work required is newborn and inpatient rounding. There is no C-section/delivery coverage required for this position. The call schedule is 1:7 and fairly light. Partnership is offered after 2 years of full-time work. You will also receive vacation time, malpractice insurance, CME allowance, and a 401(k) and profit sharing after 1 year. Valparaiso is about 1 hour from the city center of Chicago and an upper middle class community. Although it is a little too far to live in Chicago and commute every day, you will certainly be able to live close enough to Chicago to enjoy everything it has to offer. Valparaiso itself is a college town and has all the major amenities you'll need to live a very happy life in the area.
