Job DescriptionOpen Arms Home Care, LLC was established in 2017 in Gary, Indiana. Since our inception, we have been providing top-notch and compassionate home care services to the elderly, persons with disabilities, and individuals who need 24-hour care. We strive to make sure that our patients feel safe and at ease as they go about their day-to-day tasks. We are currently seeking kind, compassionate and outgoing individuals to join our outstanding Caregiver team.What We Offer

  • Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
  • Assist with medication reminders
  • Assist clients with ambulation and help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks etc.)
  • Prepare meals
  • Help with physical therapy exercises
  • Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily livingQualifications
    • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
    • Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day
    • Prior experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment is preferred but not required
    • Caregiver certification is a plus
    • Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
