Join us!The Apprentice, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the Nursing team within the Community and whose role is part on the job learning and part formal education through a local CNA Training Program. This role will assist a member of the nursing team by helping residents with personal care and activities of daily living, while developing practical skills and observing all health and safety guidelines. This program will last for up to 20 weeks and apprentices will receive an hourly rate of pay and have their CNA Training Program paid for by Covenant Living. Apprentices who successfully complete the program will be offered a permanent position and be requested to commit to a minimum 12-month work assignment with Covenant Living.Provide patient care at the direction of nursing staffDocument care provided according to standardsMaintain a clean work and resident environmentMaintain supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged suppliesParticipate in formal on-the-job training, mentoring, and department meetingsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:Preferred Degree: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with the exception of applicants who are attending high schoolExperience: Entry Level, with a genuine compassion and patience for senior adultsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:Must be accepted into a local, approved CNA Training ProgramAbility to read and comprehend instructionsAbility to write simple correspondenceAbility to communicate information in one-on-one of small group circumstancesAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusionsAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, ratios and proportions to practical situationsAbility to put the resident at the center of everything you do by providing authentic and empathetic carePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift heavier weights in excess of 50 pounds
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time#NursingSupportCompensation Pay Range: $17.26 - $20.72Reasonable Pay EstimateA reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $17.26 - $20.72. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.For full time employees, we offer a generous benefits package that includes:
