Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required License: Must have in-state license in hand prior to start date Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing - Floating required within the facility or to affiliate locations - Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical nursing. The nurse will provide care in a unit with a primary focus on orthopedic and neuro patients. Experience with pre and post-neurosurgery and total joint replacements is essential. Candidates must be able to manage and interpret dysrhythmias. The unit serves adult and geriatric populations with a variety of diagnoses. Nurses will be expected to perform duties such as continuous bladder irrigation and wound care. Teamwork and collaboration with interdisciplinary support services are crucial. Candidates will float as needed within the hospital and its affiliates. The daily patient census is approximately 34, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6. Four 12-hour shifts may result in a 48-hour week, while three 12-hour shifts result in a 36-hour workweek.
