Hourly Pay Range: $66.12 - $92.57 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. Position Highlights: Position: Physician Assistant - Orthopedics - Inpatient Location: Skokie Hospital, Skokie, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full Time, 40 hours per week Hours: Nights – 3 consecutive 12 hours shifts Monday through Friday between 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. Q4 weekends and 1-2 major holidays per year Required Travel: Occasional travel to other NorthShore hospitals, including Swedish, may be required. What you will need: License: Current Physician Assistant License in the State of Illinois required. DEA & Illinois Controlled Substance License required. Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required Experience: One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred Skills: Surgical experience preferred What you will do: Provide comprehensive health care services for a diverse patient population in close collaboration with a team of surgeons and APPs. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients within orthopedic surgery Provide surgical care for patients in various settings – emergency room, operating room, post-op, and non-op inpatient First assist in emergent operations Perform therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, bedside wound debridements, I&Ds, and difficult catheter placements.
