Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Lafayette, IN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,601 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/7/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months nursing experience required. License: Must have state license in hand prior to start. Certifications: ACLS required BLS required NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Insulin drips, Post Heart Cath, and Post Pacemaker care. Solid neuro experience. Ability to manage mixed acuity patients, including medical surgical and progressive care levels. Description: The role involves caring for patients in a dynamic mixed acuity unit. Areas of care include oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary. Staffing ratios are 1:5-6 for medical surgical patients and 1:3-4 for progressive care patients. Nurses will manage various drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Insulin. Experience with unstable strokes and BiPap is required. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Responsibilities include central line management, monitoring chemotherapy, interpreting dysrhythmias, and administering blood products. Nurses must be able to work with adult and geriatric patients. Floating to other areas may be required. Candidates must adhere to all compliance and eligibility requirements.
