Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN to join
our Labor and Delivery team, providing top-tier, faith-based
healthcare in a supportive environment focused on innovation and
personalized patient care. This role is pivotal in managing all
aspects of nursing care for laboring mothers and their babies, from
admission through postpartum discharge. Provide direct and
individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of
scientific nursing principles. Monitor maternal and fetal
well-being during labor and act swiftly in emergency situations.
Educate and support mothers and families about birth, recovery, and
newborn care. Coordinate with healthcare teams to assess, plan,
implement, and evaluate patient care plans. Document patient care
services by charting in patient and department records. Proficiency
in fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation Strong clinical
skills with a focus on obstetric and neonatal care Ability to
handle high-stress, emotional situations compassionately and
effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
capable of effectively educating and comforting patients and
families Strong teamwork orientation and ability to work
collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice BLS
certification ACLS certification preferred Certification in
Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) or similar is a plus
