DepartmentFISCAL AFFAIRS (NW-FAFF-IUNWA) Job SummaryThe position will oversee campus food service operations.Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Manage calendar for food vendors, dates of operation, and food selections.
  • Vet food vendors for the appropriate license, health certificates, etc.
  • Ensure contract and agreements are signed and in place.
  • Select food options for pick-up and go, vending machines, and coffee caf--.
  • Review food prices for reasonableness.
  • Schedule food vendors for special projects.
  • Work with EXAF on planning food options for special events.
  • Manage the area for pick-up and go, either library or dining area.
  • Manage food inventory and demand.
  • Resolve problem issues and conflicts.
  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy.
  • Identify need for work study or student workers.Required QualificationsFive years of experience in food service operations and management.Experience with scheduling and planning. Familiarity with computer software, such as Excel and Word. Knowledge of food regulations. Some supervisory skills. Strong communication skills. Knowledge of Outlook.Work LocationGary, IndianaWork HoursHours and days of work: Monday through Thursday; 8:00am to 3:00pm with flexibility as needed.
