• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the meat department, focusing on staff development and achieving sales and profit goals.
• Ensure the department meets customer expectations for shopping experience, including variety, freshness, cleanliness, food safety, and compliance.
• Support coaching and development of store associates.
• Demonstrate company values such as respect, civility, honesty, integrity, and safety.Essential Job Functions:
• Assist the store manager and team in providing a positive shopping experience.
• Lead merchandising and operational initiatives.
• Identify opportunities and develop action plans to improve store performance.
• Achieve sales, wage, and profit targets.
• Collaborate with department leaders to maximize sales and reduce shrinkage.
• Participate in financial discussions and budget development.
• Work with coordinators and staff to implement merchandising plans.
• Build relationships with local community organizations.
• Provide feedback to management on operational effectiveness.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
• Focus on reducing turnover and increasing retention.
• Provide performance feedback to staff.
• Manage labor and supply costs to meet financial targets.
• Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Supervise and coach direct reports, including performance reviews.Preferred Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Supervisory experience, retail experience, and financial management skills
• Experience in the meat market industryPotential Career Path:
