As Flexware continues to grow we are looking for Field Service Engineers that will help our customers as they encounter production issues, lines that go down, and any type of automation troubleshooting. You will also work with our team to install new project-based solutions. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be traveling to customers on a daily basis which may include overnight travel. - -

• Perform field service tasks such as repair, installation, and maintenance -
• Perform troubleshooting and emergency services at client sites -
• Diagnose machinery problems and determine if it is mechanical or electrical -
  • Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise -
  • Oversee repairs and technical improvements - -
  • Review reports and documentation from customers, and inspects malfunctioning product to determine nature and scope of problems -
  • Coordinate problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs - -
  • Work with networking components, including but not limited to Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, and DeviceNet -
    • Troubleshoot, program and install PLCs, including but not limited to Allen-Bradley and Siemens processors -
    • Troubleshoot, Program and install VFD's including but not limited to PowerFlex, Schneider, ABB, and other -
    • Troubleshoot and repair HMI or SCADA screens and applications -
    • Troubleshoot, calibrate, test, repair, and improve sensing, measurements, and actuation devices - **Please note that we are not interviewing candidates that require sponsorship now or in the future** - WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE DONE BEFORE
      
      Flexdogs are a rare breed of engineers. They come from varied backgrounds, but typically have some of the following traits: -
      • Received a technical Bachelor's degree such as electrical engineering technology, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer information technology, or a similar technical concentration.
      • Have experience as a controls or automation engineer troubleshooting manufacturing lines in relation to the controls and automation space. - -
      • Experience troubleshooting, programming, and replacing PLCs primarily in the Rockwell and Siemens platforms. -
      • Experience with HMI screens in Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Wonderware InTouch, Ignition or others.
      • Experience troubleshooting and working with networking components. -
