Description: As a full time, nonexempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy
Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Methodist Hospital Southlake,
you'll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision
of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review
of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are
related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications.
Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up,
packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will
perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy
standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory
requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion
of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure
completion. Based upon business needs, this position may also be
scheduled to cover the overnight shift or work at the Northlake
campus in Gary.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week on a
rotating day and evening schedule. This position will also work
every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday.

while Southlake Campus in Merrillville is located near one of the
Midwest's busiest retail areas. Combined campus bed capacity is 625
plus nurseries. Midlake Campus is the outpatient facility in Gary,
conveniently located between the Northlake and Southlake campuses.

Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the
hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This
position is an employee of CPS.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
- IN Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
