team at Salesforce is at the forefront of innovating email
marketing. As part of the marketing technology organization, our
team is dedicated to channel strategy, operations, risk management,
and governance. We collaborate closely with product, engineering,
and email experience teams, harnessing data insights to drive
efficient and impactful email marketing initiatives. About the
role: We seek a Data Analytics Lead with a strong passion for
turning data into actionable insights to elevate our email
marketing channel. This role involves close partnerships with our
Marketing Decision Science and Strategy teams to foster data-driven
decision-making. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in
identifying trends, uncovering optimization opportunities, and
enhancing channel health. What you'll do:
- Data Exploration and Analysis: Manipulate and analyze large
complex datasets using advanced techniques and programming
languages to extract key patterns, trends, and insights that drive
improved business performance.
- KPIs and Benchmarks: Define, track, and analyze performance
metrics specific to the email channel, aligning with broader
marketing objectives.
- Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain sophisticated
reports, dashboards, and visualizations with tools such as SQL,
Python, Excel, Tableau, and Google Analytics to effectively
communicate insights to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders.
- Segmentation and Targeting Strategy: Work with stakeholders to
devise advanced email targeting and segmentation strategies,
leveraging customer data to personalize marketing efforts.
- Experimentation Analysis: Recommend and analyze the performance
of A/B and multivariate tests to refine platform performance,
establishing robust testing frameworks for continuous
improvement.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement stringent data quality
processes to ensure data integrity, documenting all procedures for
transparency and compliance.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough industry analysis to
benchmark our performance and identify strategic
opportunities.
- Data Privacy and Compliance: Uphold a deep understanding of
Salesforce data environments and assets, ensuring all activities
comply with data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA, prioritizing
data security. Preferred requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics, working with
complex datasets to support organizational decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, digital analytics,
web analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Google
Analytics, Big Query).
- A solid understanding of B2B marketing dynamics, particularly
in email campaign strategies and customer segmentation.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing methodologies and a strong
foundation in statistical analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven
ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the
capacity to articulate complex findings to a variety of
audiences.
- Experience working in cross-functional, highly matrixed
environments, and managing multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to maintain a high level of
efficiency while working independently in a globally distributed
team.
- Adept at navigating ambiguous problems, with the ability to see
opportunities where others see challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and high standard for quality of
work
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce
Marketing Cloud, Eloqua) and understanding of email marketing best
practices
- Prior consulting or client services experience
- B2B experience
- Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience

Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this
position is $116,600 to $160,400. For Washington-based roles, the
base salary hiring range for this position is $128,300 to $176,500.
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as
location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
