**Responsibilities**

Coordinate a variety of transportation services, to include dispatching transporters within the hospital and/or to participant residence.

+ Respond to requests and assign staff, drivers and participant attendants to perform services on established priority basis. Prioritize requests and change priority of requests to ensure timely response.

+ Monitor activities during transport to ensure transporters move from dispatches to completion in a timely manner. Assist in the coordination of the optimization of transportation services.

+ Inform supervisor of activity level when additional support is needed and assists with resolution of those issues.

+ Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, objectives regarding safety and infection control.

**Requirements**

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
